Mechanical Engineer

On behalf of Signode Denmark ApS, Puls Human Relations ApS is looking for a mechanical engineer (Bsc. Mech. Eng.)

You will become an important part of Global R&D and you will in collaboration with your colleagues be responsible for new product development of industrial products and components for solutions for packaging machines from concept into production.

Your working weekday will be highly versatile and project driven with a broad organizational reach. You are going to report to Klaus, who is team leader for Global R&D. Your daily sparring is the team in Sønderborg, as well as your other R&D colleagues at the other European locations.

You can look forward to:
New product development as well as ongoing development of existing products and subsystems within Hooding and Wrapping with your starting point in the newest technologies. As part of your development projects you will be responsible for material handling and strengths calculations.

Expected yearly travel around 25-30 days within Europe


Your profile:
Your hold an educational background as mechanical engineer with 1-2 years of working experience from an industrial thin plate development environment. If you in addition to this, have working experience from craftsmanship, this will be an advantage.

Further you:

• Are used to working in 3D CAD and an experienced user of SolidWorks
• You have experience working with Product Data Management (PDM)
• You will have the opportunity to contribute with your expertise and inputs within material choice (cast, steel and plastic).
• You will be working with market data collection in collaboration with sales departments and distribution partners
• You will be working with customer driven product innovation rooted in customer and supplier inputs
• In cooperation with other departments, you will be responsible for product- and prototype testing and collection and presentation of the results
• You will become the solution partner for our product managers with regards to product optimization and selection of best match solutions for our customers.
• You will lead and run product meetings, as well as prepare meeting documentation and meeting summery notes.

You are inspiring, curious and thrive well in collaboration with your colleagues across the organization. You are a strong project manager, who leads by example, you are assertive and ensure the involvement of your colleagues. In addition, you are great at coordinating, you have a keen eye for details and can see the bigger picture as well. You master Danish and English and are a skilled communicator, both written and spoken.
